MEGA SOY EXTRACT
Citaat:
– Soy Isoflavone extracts have been shown to possess mild phytoestrogenic properties which can neutralize androgen mediated pathologies in the body. Several biotech firms have applied for patents for oral soy extracts as a treatment and preventative agents for male and female pattern hair loss.
Citaat:

Soy extract prevents the hair loss effect of testosterone by inhibiting the binding of testosterone to the hair and scalp receptor. Soy extracts also raise systemic levels of sex hormone binding globulin(SHBG), and upregulate VEGF(vascular endothelium growth factor). Oral soy extracts can be combined with other pharmaceutical treatments for hair loss without adversely affecting the beneficial and positive effects of such treatments.

In a recently granted patent for oral soy extract as a treatment for MPB, a dosage of 400 to 450 mg. was recommended. Mega Soy Extract is the most potent and concentrated soy extract commercially available. Each capsule provides 135 mg. of highly concentrated isoflavones, including genestein, diadzein, and glyciten. For the treatment or prevention of hair loss, 3 capsules daily, and divided doses is suggested.

Het gaat mij vooral om dit zinnetje: "Soy extracts prevents the hair loss effect of testosterone"

Citaat:
NATURAL PROSTATE FORMULA - An advanced herbal DHT, aromatase, and estrogen blocking formula. This formula utilizes the CO2 extraction method on Saw Palmetto as opposed to the regular hexane extraction, yielding a pure more potent compound that has been shown to be more effective at inhibiting androgen binding than gegular Saw Palmetto Extract, (52%, as opposed to 40%).
More importantly though, this formula contains a methanolic nettle root extract that is active in inhibiting estrogen binding to sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG). What does this have to do with hair loss?? Through this binding activity researchers have shown in several tissue samples, including prostate and hair follicles, that estrogen is "capable of activating path ways normally considered androgen responsive."

It has been established in recent research that certain estrogen blockers grow hair, but the mechanism of action has not been fully understood. Most researchers now concede that DHT is not the sole hormonal trigger of hair loss. SHBG increases with age and with the presence of bound estrogen, can act like an additional androgen receptor.

En hierbij gaat het mij om dit stukje: "Most researchers now concede that DHT is not the sole hormonal trigger of hair loss."

Zou testosteron (stukje1) of estrogen (stukje2) verantwoordelijk kunnen
zijn voor reflex hyperandrogenicity? Ben erg benieuwd hoe jullie hierover denken.
