Ik zal de quotes die ik regelmatig geplaats heb over B5/P5P, er maar weer eens bijpakken:

Citaat:
1) the STAMATIADIS study showed that pyridoxine is effectively combined with zinc sulphate to create a very potent dht inhibitor;
2) the Croatian study showed that pyridoxal inhibited 5ar while pyridoxine INCREASED 5ar levels;
3) probably pyridoxal is more effective but probably pyridoxine is more durable;
4) zinc Suplhate is the most important part of the mix;
5) there's pyridoxal in Joe's formula;
6) there's pyridoxine in some commercial products (like "Cistimax"). >>

And 7) Pyridoxine is converted to pyridoxal even when used topical.

Bryan You're Wrong!
It's definitely PYRIDOXAL! You are making assumptions, Bryan that are false. Cells don't have some magic power to convert one form into another. When Pyridoxine enters the body it is not automatically converted to Pyridoxal. The body needs adequate amounts of B-2. Without that the conversion won't take place. Since you don't know if there's adequate amounts of B-2 in the scalp you must supply it with the Pyridoxal version! Otherwise you run the risk of increasing the 5 A-R in the scalp! Even if somebody has adequate amounts of B-2 in their body they might have a problem with absorption or conversion, thus there may not be enough in the scalp. Bottom line? Use Pyridoxal.
