Arrow Opkomende en potentiële behandelingen

- Brotzu lotion:

- Sandalore:

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/h...-a8543391.html

“This is actually a rather amazing finding,” Professor Ralf Paus, a scientist at the University of Manchester who led the research, told The Independent.

“This is the first time ever that it has been shown that the remodelling of a normal human mini-organ [a hair] can be regulated by a simple, cosmetically widely-used odorant.”

To achieve these results, the scientists tapped into an ancient chemical pathway found in hair follicles that allowed them to both slow down the death of these precious structures and promote their growth.

They did this using an unlikely substance known as Sandalore, a chemical produced to recreate the smell of sandalwood, which is often used to make perfumes and soaps.
Nature paper: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-018-05973-0

- WAY-316606:

"Enhanced hair growth is a side-effect of a different drug, cyclosporine A, used to treat autoimmune diseases.

And researchers found it also inhibited a protein, SFRP1, that blocks a molecular pathway, WNT, vital for the growth of many tissues, including hair."

https://journals.plos.org/plosbiolog...l.pbio.2003705

https://www.bbc.com/news/health-44038756

Recentste nieuws: https://www.folliclethought.com/drug...harma-company/

- PTD-DBM:

Mijn persoonlijke nr.1 van potentiële behandelingen:

Zou ook helpen bij genezen van wonden; https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26056233

The researchers noted that the amount of protein called 'CXXC5' is high in the scalp tissue of a person who has hair loss.

This protein is a key component of the intracellular signaling pathway (Wnt signaling pathway) that plays a role in hair formation and wound healing.

To better understand the function of the protein, the researchers studied human hair follicle cells, confirming that this protein binds to other proteins and inhibits hair growth.

This suggests that if the binding of the two proteins is blocked, hair can be properly formed.

The researchers actually produced a biochemical (protein fragment) 'PTD-DBM' that blocked the binding of the two proteins and confirmed its efficacy in mice.

Applying PTD-DBM for 28 days to the hairless area, the hair follicles will be healthy and the hair will come back.

If you apply VPA (valproic acid), a chemical that activates the winter signaling system, the hair growth effect is higher.

Existing hair loss treatments use the principle of promoting the growth rate of hair, so it is not effective when hair loss has already progressed. In addition, there were side effects because of the simultaneous use of drugs that inhibit male hormones.

The researchers said the candidate for hair loss treatment has the potential to solve all of these problems.

The researchers are now testing animals for toxicity to this candidate drug.

Professor Choi Kang-yeol said, "We have developed a novel material that regulates the function of hair proteins and controls the function of hair to regenerate hair." I hope to contribute, "he said.

Expectations:

It should be the full blown cure nothing in comparison with any of the current treatments or the future ones in pipeline, maybe comparable only with Tsuji.

Why it should work:
It doesn’t touch your hormones, it goes much more deeper hacking the ability of your body to produce healthy tissue like hair.

Regarding safety:
It was tested for toxicity and cancer and found there were even less chances of getting it after peptide applications.
Furthermore peptides are natural substances already found in our body they are rapidly used by cells and degraded so the PTD-DBM applied topically doesn’t go systemic.

- Topical Zinc Thymulin:

https://www.hairlosstalk.com/interact/threads/topical-zinc-thymulin-for-the-treatments-of-androgenetic-alopecia.113969/

Momenteel enkel te verkrijgen via e-mail. Zou binnenkort site moeten hebben.

- Zix:

https://www.hairlosstalk.com/interact/threads/my-zix-experience-how-b6-and-zinc-have-saved-my-hair.101629/

- Replicel:

Persoonlijke Nr.1 lange termijn oplossing.

Geen bijwerkingen, geen pillen of lotions. Een injectie om de X tijd. Verwacht maintenance + lichte hergroei.

In May 2014 Shiseido opened a huge biotechnology facility in Japan to accelerate the launch of Replicel’s hair technology RCH-01.

https://www.folliclethought.com/ulti...-regeneration/

http://www.histogeninc.com/

By far the biggest news is that Histogen has started Phase 3 clinical trials in Mexico for its men’s hair product. This product is called “an earlier version of HSC660” in the San Diego Tribune article, so might be slightly different from the newer women’s HSC660.

CEO Dr. Gail Naughton, they anticipate success with these Phase 3 trials and are looking towards commercialization:

“We’re in very late-stage negotiations with some huge retail partners. A deal should be concluded in the next few months.”

https://www.hairlosscure2020.com/his...comment-149482

Points of Interest: This is a treatment that has a very high appeal due to its ease of application. Theoretically, you could walk in, receive injections, and walk out. No need to harvest your own cells and come back to get them re-injected such as with other cellular based treatments.

https://www.folliclethought.com/ultimate-guide-to-hair-regeneration/

- Tsuji:

Japanse regelgeving omtrent "regenerative medicine";

"Last year, Japan introduced sweeping changes to its regulation of “regenerative medicine” therapeutics, a novel product classification that includes a range of human cell- and tissue-based biologics. Under the terms of the amended Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices and Other Therapeutic Products Act, clinical trial sponsors now have the option to seek market approval for up to 7 years for regenerative medicine products for which data from early phase trials demonstrate safety and are 'likely to predict efficacy.'"

https://www.sciencedirect.com/scienc...34590915001241

1. Tsuji is working on cloning hair - essentially creating an unlimited donor-stash of hairs which can be used for hair transplants. It will work for both bald and balding people but it won't stop baldness as it's just new hairs.

2. The treatment is a surgery similar to a normal hair transplant - i expect that the side-effects would be the same.

3. No human tests yet.

4. I believe human tests are supposed to start later this year or next year.

5. This is probably the holy grail in hair loss since it will work for everyone as long as they still got a bit of hair left on their head. The biggest obstacle is most likely that this will be extremely expensive and have a high wait-list.

6. Again, this treatment should be suitable for all types of androgenetic alopecia (male pattern baldness).

- Follica:

Follica’s co-founder Dr. George Cotsarelis is one of the household names in the hair follicle research world and has an array of hair growth related patents under his belt. About 10 years deep in development, Follica is planning to initiate a pivotal trial within the next several years, which, pending results, could lead to Follica’s hair growth therapy being approved for the market very shortly after that trial. In October 2016 Follica rolled out a new website to showcase the modalities of their treatment and smartphone app. The RAIN treatment, though not fully disclosed yet, stands to be a brief and tolerable procedure.

- Follicum:

Follicum is a Swedish biotechnology company that is developing human peptides for the use of stimulating hair growth and inhibiting hair growth. The lead candidate peptide of Follicum is called FOL-005. Specifically, it is called FOL-S-005 when being used to stimulate hair growth.

https://www.folliclethought.com/ultimate-guide-to-hair-regeneration/

- Samumed:

SM04554 is a small-molecule topical solution that activates the Wnt pathway to grow hair. In March 2016 Samumed presented their highly anticipated phase 2 results at the American Academy of Dermatology. The Phase 2 results got a mixed response from the online world of hair growth enthusiasts, but the bottom line is that the treatment grew hair in the trial. Approximately, a 10% overall increase in hair density was observed in the best responding group who used SM04554.

Status: Have completed two Phase 2 trials. In 3rd Q 2018 Samumed announced a major investment round and plans to move their late stage programs to commercialization. Androgenic Alopecia is one of Samumed’s two further developed programs.

Nog iets gevonden;

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/30200826

Thiosulfate prom?otes hair growth in mouse model.

Abstract

The present study describes the hair growth-promoting effects of sodium thiosulfate (STS), a widely used compound, in mice. STS accelerated hair growth in the "telogen model", suggesting that it stimulates telogen hair follicles to reenter the anagen phase of hair growth. In the same model, STS potentiated hair growth in an additive manner with minoxidil (MXD), a drug used for the treatment of androgenic alopecia. Furthermore, in the "anagen model", STS promoted hair growth, probably by promoting hair follicle proliferation. Since STS elevated the skin surface temperature, its hair growth-promoting activity may be partly due to vasorelaxation, similar to MXD. In addition, STS is known to generate a gaseous mediator, H2S, which has vasorelaxation and anti-inflammatory/anti-oxidative stress activities. Therefore, STS and/or provisionally its metabolite, H2S, may aid the hair growth process. Collectively, these results suggest that salts of thiosulfate may represent a novel and beneficial remedy for hair loss.

TOPICAL FINA STUDY

Studie is van Juli 2018

- The results demonstrated that the efficacy of a 0.25% finasteride topical (+minoxidil) yielded equal efficacy based on the scalp DHT levels being reduced equal to that of a 1mg oral dose.

- The side effect profile demonstrated that measured Plasma DHT after 6 months was 10 fold less than that of the 1mg oral dose. Just a 5% reduction in DHT plasma levels were measured.
