Lijkt me een heerlijk gevoel.

Just a question @webmaster out of curiosity. If hasci would advertise here, would you still be so lets say it with caution "joking" towards them?

Because as a webmaster i think you have to be at least a little bit neutral about stuff going on, but its strange when a webmaster comes up on two threads dealing with one clinic.

I am just curious

I think Stevie means it's wrong to read from the webmaster that Geer is a living commercial but at the same time its not wrong to bump '5' topics about how great this place actually is and that advertising pays off.

Not to mention, what if Gho was a sponsor here ? Imagine if Geer was talking like this about...lets say Prohair (who is a spondor here). Would Geer still be a living commercial according to the webmaster ?

Dont blame me, I just try to understand what Stevie is thinking.

Hello Stevie,

Thanks for your feedback.

The internet is a brilliant medium, but one of the cons of it is, that one communicates through written words. And written words can come across differently then intended by the writer/sender. It's difficult, if not impossible to know the feeling put behind the words and so written words are open for interpretation by the receiver.

So when I write:

Indeed some food for thought... mr. Joling is a living commercial isn't he?

Looking at this RTL Boulevard 'item'... one wonders if we are indeed watching a commercial. Well, RTL is a commercial broadcaster after all...
... I am merely pointing out an impression one can have, seeing how mr. Joling chooses to handle his own hairloss in the past and now (mind you: I also added a smiley). I am not referring to or aiming at HASCI at all.

You are absolutely right that:

Citaat:

I fully agree with and subscribe to that. In the 10 years now that HaarWeb exists you will have noticed (if you were around for so long ) that as a Webmaster I have indeed always taken a neutral position and you will never hear any personal opinion from me about any clinic or specialist. In my position I not only need to be a little bit neutral... I need to be 100% neutral.

That's one of the reasons why I am not involved in most of the discussions going on at our forums. Even if I am someone who actually prefers to operate in the background, in the position of Webmaster one has to realize that people (in general) will put more weight on my words/opinions (and then even an added smiley doesn't seem to help, like above) and that's why I am and have a need/responsibility to be careful in that aspect.

Thanks for having shared your viewpoint: it is appreciated.

Hello Lucky,

There's no reason to blame anybody : it is good to share our viewpoints with each other. So thanks for letting me/us know what you think.

Yes, advertising pays off. On RTL Boulevard for example. And, according to testimonials by our advertisers, also on HaarWeb. I fail to see why it should be 'wrong' to mention that a well known public figure appears to be/act as a 'living commercial' (which he does a pretty good job at!) and at the same time mention the benefits of placing a commercial on HaarWeb. I don't see the relation?

Like every other hairspecialist/clinic, HASCI is welcome to advertise on HaarWeb (although I have the impression mr. Joling's doing an excellent job in that area already ). Mind you: being a sponsor is something completely different. We will never have any commercial hairspecialist/clinic sponsor us. HaarWeb is a 100% objective and independent platform/foundation and we will make sure that we never get ourselves into the situation where commercial sponsors want to have/demand influence on our work. We know there are 'hairloss' websites out there (also in The Netherlands) that find themselves exactly in that kind of situation and they even claim to be independent. No, I will not mention names because that would be highly unprofessional and probably I already shared too much of my personal opinion/viewpoint on things. Next to that: pointing towards others doesn't bring much, does it? We need to focus on ourselves and stick to our own values.

And yes, if mr. Geer Joling was promoting any other clinic or any other product like that, he would still appear to be a 'living commercial' (because he is, isn't he, when it comes to his battle against hairloss?) from my (personal) perspective. I state it again: it has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the clinic or product: I am talking about mr. Joling himself, nothing more and nothing less.

Of course Gerard Joling is a living commercial. He shares the same characteristics of a commercial: a lot of impact and little information.
No number of grafts, no before-after pictures, and no info about donor regrowth. As a source of information, Joling is null.

Well the more and more statements i read from clinics and surgeons with a good reputation, i come to the conclusion that there is maybe more to Ghos HST then people wanna make the hair loss community believe.

Lets see what we get in a few months to see.

Hi Spanish Dud,
would you recommend those physicians, surgeons and specialists …

- Transhair B.V.
- Aesthetic Team B.V.
- Laser Surgery
- Prohairclinic
- Hairplus Medical Care

… to sue Dr. Gho again, because Joling “has -aware or unaware- linked his name to Hasci” once more?

What would you recommend those experts this time? How could you help them to win?

It seems Dr. Christine Mummery couldn't help them either, due to contrary reports by other research groups ...

http://www.hairsite.com/hair-loss/fo...-id-81866.html

So maybe you can find for them a better "international recognised authority" for stem cells than Mummery. Maybe a better one costs more than Mummery, but hey, the aim is finally to win!

You are misinformed. They never 'sued' Gho. It was Gho who threatened to sue them for voicing doubts about his claims ....

INTERESTING!
And why is nothing mentioned about what you claim neither in the RCC (Reclame Code Commissie) papers, nor in the papers by the College van Beroep??

And even so, just because Gho "threadtened to sue them", THEY, in fact, (unsuccessfully) sued HIM therefore - TWICE??

The whole story, all in all, is ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE in the medical field!
