Geen idee , schijnt wel een heel goed middel te zijn. Er wordt veel over gesproken op hairlosstalk en regrowth .

ik kwam proxiphen ook tegen tijdens mijn zoektocht. Klinkt inderdaad erg interessant. Een groot voordeel is dat er veel goede middelen gecombineerd worden waardoor het handig allemaal in één keer kan worden aangebracht.

Op Hairsite zijn er veel discussies over, het zou redelijk tot goed werken maar het zou veel te duur zijn. Vergelijkbare resultaten zouden haalbaar zijn door minox en spiro gewoon los te gebruiken.

Het wordt gemaakt door een arts genaamd Peter Proctor, en het is op zijn site te bestellen:

Nadeel is wel dat je voor Proxiphen (veruit het meest interessante product uit zijn lijn) een doktersrecept nodig hebt en bovendien kan het alleen na telefonisch contact met dr. Proctor zelf. Dit vind ik 2 hele grote nadelen.

Verder vraag ik me af of het wel mogelijk is om spironolactone en minoxidil in één flesje te combineren. Volgens dr. Lee kan dit namelijk niet, omdat dat ongewenste chemische reacties oplevert:

Do not combine medications containing spironolactone and minoxidil in the same container. The medications slowly react with each other, resulting in a compromise of their pharmacological activities. However, since it requires many hours for spironolactone and minoxidil to chemically react with each other, they can be consecutively applied to the scalp without compromising each other.

1) Are there any studies available proving the effectiveness of Proxiphen in treatment against Androgenetic Alopecia?

Not specically. It was developed by trying new things out on persons who had previously failed the provious treatment. This is called a cross-over. There are nine US patents issue to me in this area, covering several classes of agents.

2) In the product are spironolactone and minoxidil combined. I always thought that this is chemically impossible.

There are ways of stabilizing spironolactone against autooxidation... Also, while minoxidil may catalyze the autooxidation of spironolactone, it probably does not react with it much. BTW, both minoxidil and spironolactone produce only a fraction of the activity of our formulation.

Voor mij valt dit middel iig af: te vage antwoorden, te duur, te moeilijk te krijgen.

Als spiro en minox samen in één oplossing zouden gaan, zou Dr. Lee dat allang hebben gedaan lijkt me. Dr Lee blijft echter volhouden dat de twee samen instabiel zijn.
