With consistent inhibitory effects on scalp DHT levels while minimizing the systemic effects on serum DHT, doses of 100 μL (0.2275mg) and 200 μL (0.455 mg) topical FNS 0.25% solution applied daily appears to be the most efficacious concentration and frequency at this time.13
Topical FNS is not widely used despite its proven efficacy and lack of side effects, most likely due to the lack of evidence-based research.
