"By yet unknown mechanisms, DHT causes a change in the follicle, signaling the immune system to attack the follicle, and your hair starts falling out (if you take a close look, you can actually see a red line of inflammation on the scalp of some people losing their hair).
It was discovered that the hair follicles of people losing their hair look very similar under a microscope to people who experience organ rejection after surgery. And, it has been found that the immune system suppressing drug used to stop the organ rejection (Cyclosporine®) grows hair like crazy because it shuts down the immune response in the body. However, this is a dangerous drug to fool around with. Who cares if they have a full head of hair when they're dead?"

- Effects of cyclosporin A on hair.
- Effects of hypertrichotic agents on follicular and nonfollicular cells in vitro.
- Cyclosporin A prolongs human hair growth in vitro.
- Cyclosporin A-induced hair growth in mice is associated with inhibition of hair follicle regression.
- Topical application of cyclosporin A induces rapid-remodeling of damaged anagen hair follicles produced in cyclophosphamide administered mice.
- Hair growth control by immunosuppression. (zie attachment)
- Delightful hair growth after lung transplantation.
- Effects of immunosuppressive peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase (PPIase) inhibitors, cyclosporin A, FK506, ascomycin and rapamycin, on hair growth initiation in mouse: immunosuppression is not required for new hair growth.
- Effect of cyclosporin on hair-existing area of nude mice.
- Hair growth on nude mice due to cyclosporin A.
- Topical cyclosporin induces hair growth in human split skin grafted onto nude mice.
- Cyclosporin A stimulates hair growth in nude mice.
Onderzoekje 7 lijkt mij trouwens erg leuk om te lezen
maar er staat helaas geen tekst en/of verwijzing bij.
