I have now decided to go Prohairclinic in Belgium to have two days FUE procedure for 3000-4000 grafts.

At first I was thinking only the strip procedure, because I will need so many grafts. But then I realized that the amount is so huge, that basically my head will be bald in front/middle and I should have long hair on back to hide the scar. That's something I don't want to have, it will look ugly after one month when I'm going back to work.

Because FUE method does not leave any marks, I can then have really short hair at the first months after the operation and let the hair grow back naturally.

Has anyone got experience of FUE mega session in Prohairclinic?

I have contacted several clinics by email, they have then evaluated my pictures. My mind has changed many times when I have been writing on this forum, but I definitely want to have FUE operation because it will not leave the scar.

In stead of one big scar you get many small ones, you know? Anyway, of you want to have a short hair cut I agree it is better to have a FUE than a FUT. Good luck, when is the happening??

Pak started in 2002 with FUE with old wise doc for hair W. Rassman!

You gave it good thought and I think you made a brave (but wise) decision.

August is a good time for the procedure. Hairs grow faster in warmer weather. And if you can find a good way to protect the implant zone, perhaps you could give the rest of your head some extra sun so what little marks you have will disappear even faster

Yes I will keep posting in here. I would like to have experiences from others who have been on Prohairclinic. I have tried to translate these pages by using google

Should I be worried about the FUE operation in Prohairclinic and specially because on my case the graft amount is so huge? In this forum there was at least one customer with average results. In other forums somebody are saying that there is only bad results from Prohair and it's hit and miss to have successfull operation in there. Even I have been reading many forums for a months now, I have not seen bad results by Prohair, except that one on this forum. Or maybe I'm just blind.

And another question... I have seen on the pictures that the recipient area can be red for months after the operation. Is that how usual? That's not looking good at all and specially because there is not much hair to cover the area.

I have a positive experience with ProHair, but I had nowhere near the number of grafts transplanted as you intend to!

I guess ProHair has also evolved since then (and they've lowered their prices

). 1400 grafts in november 2006 was the very limit they could transplant in one single day. At present they say they can do over double that number!

In my case the recipient area stayed red for about three months. Especially the first two months it was clearly visable, so I use makeup to camouflage it. But not everybody has the same experience. I think it's mainly dependent on the number of grafts per cm2 in the recipient area. The more grafts, the more damage on a small surface, the more time skin needs to repair. I had rather dense packing: 60 grafts/cm2.

I was also thinking if the makeup can be used for covering the red recipient area. Let's see then if it's needed or not.

How it will be then right after the operation? I need to travel back to home, so how can I cover the area? By using a cap? Any ideas?

For some reason I'm more worried about how to hide the recipient/donor area after the operation than the operation itself...
