Ik kreeg de onderstaande e-mail, van een zekere Dave Dorius. Hoe serieus kan dit zijn? Er zitten toch geen ingrediënten in die in andere minoxproducten niet zitten of wel soms? Ik heb er zoveel geld voor betaald en nu zou ik die middeltjes moeten vernietigen??? Graag jullie advies.

The medication or medications you have received contain one or more of the following active ingredients:

[1] Minoxidil can cause a decrease in the blood pressure, an increase in the heart rate, dizziness on standing (orthostatic hypotension), lightheadedness, headaches and swollen feet/hands.

[2] Azelaic acid can cause hypopigmentation in darkly pigmented patients. It can also make the skin where it is applied more sensitive to sunburn.
[3] Finasteride can cause erectile dysfunction, decreased libido and testicular pain. Finasteride use is contraindicated in women when they are or may potentially be pregnant. Finasteride use may have the potential to cause abnormalities of the external genitalia of a male fetus of a pregnant woman.
[4] Spironolactone applied topically is quickly and completely metabolized. The metabolic products can cause vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain or cramps, dry mouth, thirst, dizziness, headache, gynecomastia and irregular menses.
[5] Retinoic acid can cause burning and stinging of the skin, lightening of the skin in the treated area, peeling, redness, an unusually warm feeling and unusual dryness.
[6] Ketoconazole in a shampoo can cause hair discoloration and abnormal hair texture, removal of the curl from permanently waved hair, itching, skin burning sensation and contact dermatitis, alopecia, rash, urticaria, skin irritation and dry skin.
[7] Salicylic acid can cause mild, temporary burning, itching, irritation, or stinging.

Iedereen die ooit bij minoxidil.com heeft besteld, heeft waarschijnlijk deze mail ontvangen. Men staat op de mailinglist. Ik heb hem ook ontvangen. Zoals je misschien weet bestaat de site niet meer, aangezien Dr.Lee aan allerlei medische voorschriften moest gaan voldoen.

Uiteraard moet je niet je spullen vernietigen. Dit is enkel de nasleep.

Maar kun je als koper geen boete of zo oplopen als je dat formulier niet terugstuurt? Het bericht komt tamelijk dwingend over ... .

Er staat: "Please complete and return.. "

Dat is dus slechts een verzoek, geen verplichting.

Inderdaad ... het zal dus niet verplicht zijn. De vraag is waarom ze dat formulier dan precies nodig hebben. Lijkt alsof ze zichzelf willen indekken of zo ... . En dat kan er dan misschien op duiden dat er tòch wat aan de hand is ...? Of maak ik me teveel zorgen?

Ik denk dat de FDA hun verplicht heeft alle produkten terug te roepen.
Maar jouw produkten zijn gewoon reeds verbruikt, simpel.
En je snapt geen Engels.

Ja nu je het zegt ... het is geschreven in zo'n bizarre vreemde taal ... . Ik snap de inhoud helemaal niet. Of misschien is het bericht wel per ongeluk in mijn postvak Ongewenst terechtgekomen ... hihi. Ik heb het pas 3 weken (120 ml) en wissel het af met Rogaine, dus de enige manier dat ik het kan hebben opgebruikt, is dat ik het zou hebben opgedronken ... . lol Bedankt voor de tip, Hanna. Mijn naam is dus haas.

Of misschien heb ik wel een gloeiende kolenkachel in mijn badkamer waarop beide flesjes in een moment van onoplettendheid gesmolten zijn ... . Of wie weet heb ik de flesjes wel per ongeluk opgeborgen in de microgolfoven ...

Vreemd dat ze ook de gewone minox oplossing aankaarten. Minox is toch FDA approved? Waarom zie ik dan "5% Minoxidil Solution 65 mL bottle" in dat lijstje staan?

Wel experimenteel, maar minoxidil 5% wordt tegenwoordig notabene zelfs aan kinderen voorgeschreven, zie:

Mijn kleine zusje heeft haar kalende teddybeer helemaal ingesmeerd met mijn minoxidil en nu zijn alle flesjes leeg.

niemand kan je verplichten die middelen terug te zenden....
ze zijn betaald en dus jouw bezit....

gewoon doorgebruiken , dr lee is verplicht door de fda om deze mail naar al hun klanten te zenden....
je gaat toch niet jouw produkten terugzenden op jouw kosten omdat de fda dr lee sluit....
niks van aantrekken en gewoon blijven doorgebruiken , zijn middelen helpen wel hoor , het gaat zich hier gewoon om geld , is het altijd al geweest....
