This is a question for anyone who has undergone a FUE procedure, or simply has witnessed a real FUE procedure (normal FUE, or Gho's FUE). I have made this same question to some Gho patients (still no answer) but this time I want to ask this question concerning other FUE doctors (not necessarily Gho).
On a FUE procedure, grafts are extracted from the donor area, and these grafts are of several kinds: 1-follicle graft, 2-follicle graft, 3-follicle graft, etc. I assume the doctor or technician separates these grafts after extraction, and keep them in a separated place (reservoir with preservative medium), according to the number of grafts, until the moment of implantation. For example, in different sections of a petri dish. I assume the patient is informed about the number of grafts of each type. And then, on implantation time, the doctor will distribute the different grafts according to the needs of each area, for example, "singles" in the hairline, etc. Is this correct, or I am wrong? Is it strange that, when I look at the posts of FUE patients, most patients just mention the total number of grafts, but they don't specify the numbers of each type of graft. Why is that? I think its an interesting piece of information. Laatst gewijzigd door Spanish Dude; 14 augustus 2011 om 02:21 |

Your assumption that clients are informed about the numbers of grafts of each type is wrong.
And why ask this about FUE? In FUE it is not a number that can easily be manipulated. Grafts out, grafts in. For a FUT this would be a much more relevant question. Strip out, grafts cut, grafts in ... in cutting there is a chance of manipulating the numbers (one 3F-graft can also be cut as 2 grafts (2F+1F) or even 3 ...)

Spanish Dude, good question, I believe that you are refering to what is called the 'graft count".
Most top institutes compute this information in order to integrate the exact numbers of grafts into the plan. This requires 1 extra assistant who does all the sorting and counting. At our clinic graft count is always kept track of for each patient. On request we give this information to our patients, we are quite open about this. The information can also be used to verify the result. For example if someone has a high hair/graft it will give a better result then someone who has a natural low hair per graft.

And now we are sidetracked again. SpanishDude how about if you explain everyone here WHY HST cannot work according to you, you keep jiggling about everything except the TECHNIQUE itself, so it seems that you try everything to make Gho look bad but you try it with everything else but not the crucial part

Nope but first it was
1) False advertising 2) Now its side tracking Graft count And for the record, if SpanishDude has something to say, then he would show us WHY HST wont work, but all he comes up with is the same old stuff elsewhere of HST, and this is getting boring. Nevertheless did he tell personal lies about me at hair site etc, so especially this guy should be very very careful with writing stuff down. Until now SpanishDude failed to explain to me why science from indepentend researchers which backs up Gho etc should be lieing? So to me his effort smells like sour grapes clinic with a puppet account |

I have posted this on Hairsite:
http://www.hairsite.com/hair-loss/fo...ategory-2.html HST / Hair Multiplication vs Basic FUE (Hair Transplant) posted by Spanish Dude, 14.08.2011, 17:57 Exactly, Dr. Umar, this could explain why dr. Gho keeps the donor area with little gapping after extractions, and thus he is able to claim "donor regeneration". He could be extracting only part of the follicular unit, and leaving some follicles behind to allow for "regeneration". And this would explain why the donor "regeneration" occurs in just 1 week. Basically, because the follicles were not removed at all. This would mean that dr. Gho, would extract basically only 1-hair grafts, and 2-hair grafts. And not 3 or 4-hair grafts. In fact, on Gho's videos, the petri dishes appear with only 2 sections filled with grafts. One section is possibly for 1-hair grafts, and the other section is for 2-hair grafts. This is the petri dish, containing the grafts, during implantation on the recipient side. Just 2 sections. And here is another picture taken by patient qw123 of the petri dish: http://www.hairsite.com/hair-loss/fo...-id-88964.html |

And the way Spanish Dude explains, graft count could give more insight. And what's with having to show something does not work? The point is proving something works! Did these independend researchers follow the same protocols as Gho? Or did they prove that a hairfollicle can be split in two (outside the body) with both halves producing viable hairs when placed back in the skin?

The sequence starts with the after picture and ends with the before picture ... that's not logical and at least a bit misleading. Keep in mind that the bulk of men looking for a solution for their boldness is not very well informed (understatement). They are in a mild panic and they tend to make (hasty) decissions based on emotion, not ratio. This sequence of pictures aims at emotion, not ratio ... But yes, there is no point discussing this if you fail to see that. Pathetic is the right word
