If I remember it correctly, they told me the density will be really high, something between 50-60 in the middle and front. And does it then mean the grafts per cm2 or hairs per cm2? I will ask details from Bart if they have any statistics of my operation...
Hmm, astonishing. When it's really 50-60 grafts. I understand you simply cant compare two different hairtransplantations based on pictures and surface because the density can be lower. But now I read your density is the same as mine, I'm confused...

Like I said, I've done much less than you on the front area and already received 1200 grafts. Better yet, that's what they told me.

Anyway good luck.

And I have received the details. Density was 50 grafts per cm2 in the frontal area and 45 in the middle area.

I have updated again new pictures:
http://sim0oo.blogspot.com/

I have no swelling anymore and donor area is looking very good after I have washed most of the dried blood away. Tomorrow is the 6th day and I'm going to have long shower trying to wash the crust away from recipient area.

Be careful not to damage anything. Let it soak gently and don't use fingernails yet! I thought clinics advised to wait until day 8.

Is there still a lot of crust left on day 5?

Yes I received good instructions what I should and shouldn't do after transplantation As from day 6 they adviced to start removing the crusts from recipient area. I will be extremly careful and will not use any force to remove it. They adviced to soak my head for up to 25 minutes with warm (not hot) water before washing the recipient area.

If you checked my blog, the situation is the same as yesterday because I have not washed my hair yet. There is not much crust on the donor area anymore but it will be better after I wash it later today.

I think it looks OK, but be gentle washing. The redness will probably last for a while yet. The first weeks it will also be a bit bumpy, rough.

Make sure you stay out of the sun

Hi sim0oo,

Thank you very much for sharing your experiences here on HaarWeb.

Just a suggestion: are you aware of the fact that you can have your own personal weblog on HaarWeb aswell? See here for an example.

The benefits of your own personal weblog on HaarWeb compared to an external blog are plenty. One of them is for example that our members can subscribe to your HaarWeblog and get automatic email notifications when you update your Blog. Another one is, is that our blogs are tightly integrated with our existing forumsoftware, and obviously we have a very big audience overhere.

Good luck with your process!

Here's the day 9 pic. Sorry about the bad quality but I still have not bought new battery for my camera:
9th day post op

I'm not sure if the transplanted hairs are growing (maybe it is only my imagination), but I'm waiting when the shedding starts

sim0oo looking good, mine are growing but are a bit shorter than the rest of the hairs.

I finally washed all the scabs of today, I couldn't get them all off in the last few days without using excess force so i decided to let them on a bit longer.

I can't describe the feeling of having hair standing where there wasn't hair before, it feels so good! To bad it will all fall out in the coming weeks but when it grows out again I'm sure it will look great!

It looks great, you have a nice head full of hair this Christmas

Unbelievable you get a density of 50-60 grafts per cm2 in the treated zone...

But that's why I also have a question for you: there is an area on your head you still have no hair. You didn't prefer to get there also grafts so your whole head would be covered with hair?

As seen on my previous post, the density was 50 grafts per cm2 in the frontal area and 45 in the middle area.

The crown area was not covered on this operation, because they suggested to try finasteride for it first. So the total amount of grafts was 3900 and I'm not even sure can it be enough to fill the entire area (front, middle, crown).

As seen on this picture, the redness has been faded a little bit:

Really really nice hairline. Well done prohair.

Yeah too bad your crown is quite bald also.

I just had a little spot and they used 1300 grafts for that already. After 10 months of grow it's far from good. If I shave my head than it's looking good but as soon as my hair gets longer and longer than it's looking more worse. Got to admit, it's also the most worst spot of the crown, exactly on top. Well, I have always said, for my crown I draw conclusions after 14-15 months or so because they say grow is slow over there.

Your crown area is quite big but I also dont think it will get any worse. That's a plus.
